AEW star Abadon was apparently taken to hospital this week after suffering a serious injury during Dynamite tapings.

AEW has done a lot of good since it arrived on the wrestling scene. However, it has experienced a few hiccups as of late, some of which relate to the safety of its wrestlers. A spotlight was first shone on the issue when Matt Hardy fell and hit his head on concrete during his match at All Out. A quick check from AEW's doctor and Hardy was allowed to continue.

However, it was later revealed that Hardy was taken to hospital after the match concluded where he remained overnight. This week on Dynamite, AEW has been criticized again as wrestlers continued on around a knocked out Alex Reynolds. It was almost a full minute before anyone checked on Reynolds, and again, the Dark Order member was allowed to continue with the match right away.

Next week's Dynamite will not air live and has already been taped. However, some of the details about the show have already been revealed. As reported by Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Abadon suffered a serious injury during her match with Tay Conti. So serious, in fact, that the wrestler was taken to hospital. The details of the injury are still unclear, but she is expected to make a full recovery.

It's a real shame for Abadon as the unique star appears to have the backing of AEW right now. Even though she hasn't competed on Dynamite since June, Abadon is a regular fixture on Dark and has won her last five matches. She has even made it into the top five women in the company, so might have a title shot in her future providing the injury isn't too serious.

The bad news continues to pile up for AEW this week. It has also been revealed that Rey Fenix suffered a neck injury during his win over Penta El Zero. That has resulted in Fenix forfeiting his win and allowing Penta to take his place against Kenny Omega in the World Title tournament. Since next week's Dynamite has already been taped, that match has already happened.
