Awesome Kong has revealed that she kept her surprise AEW appearance a secret for months, and she did it well.

Double Or Nothing offered up a lot of shocks and surprises on Saturday night. The biggest shock was obviously the arrival of Jon Moxley. The man formerly known as Dean Ambrose invaded the ring at the end of the show to attack Kenny Omega, Chris Jericho, and even the referee. The perfect ending to what was a historic night for the wrestling business.

Moxley wasn't the only former WWE Superstar to show up unannounced, though. Earlier in the evening, Brandi Rhodes added a fourth competitor into the women's triple threat match. That mystery fourth entrant turned out to be Awesome Kong, otherwise known as Kharma during her short stint with WWE. Kong didn't win the match, but she looked as if she hasn't missed a step.

Pulling off a genuine surprise in wrestling nowadays is not easily done. While the Moxley appearance was pretty cool, many fans were ultimately expecting to see him. Kong, on the other hand, not so much. The former Impact star dropped by Lita's Q&A at Starrcast and shed a little light on exactly how hard it was to keep her return to wrestling a secret, reports Ringside News.

"I had to come to Vegas incognito with glasses — it was really weird," Kong revealed. She also told fans in attendance that AEW had approached her months ago, and she thinks only four people knew that she would be debuting at Double Or Nothing. "It was months ago and I had to keep it a secret...I think only like four people in the universe knew."

At the time of typing this, it is unclear whether Kong has signed a long term deal with AEW. Chances are her appearance at Double Or Nothing was a one-off. We'd have thought if she was sticking around, she would have won the match. Britt Baker was the victor instead, and it is very likely AEW hitches their women's division wagon to the real-life dentist.
