AEW Officially Announces When Jon Moxley vs Kenny Omega Will Go Down

AEW has revealed that Jon Moxley versus Kenny Omega will happen, and it will happen on August 31, 2019, at All Out.

Almost three weeks has passed since AEW's first event, Double Or Nothing, and we still haven't quite recovered. Suffice to say, if its first show is any indication of what we can expect going forward, AEW is going to do well in the wrestling industry. It will have to impress with its subsequent events in order to do that though, and we don't have long to wait for them.

Later this month, we'll be able to watch AEW Fyter Fest. While it won't be a PPV per se, the promotion has revealed fans will be able to watch the action for free via B/R Live. In terms of major shows, the next event on the AEW calendar is Fight For The Fallen. That PPV will go down on July 13, 2019.

However, AEW clearly already has one eye on the show that will be taking place on August 31, 2019, All Out. We already know that's when the company will crown its first World Champion. Chris Jericho and Hangman Page will do battle for that honor. Now we know, thanks to an announcement on Twitter, that Kenny Omega and Jon Moxley will also clash that night.

Moxley burst onto the AEW scene at DoN by attacking Jericho and Omega after their main event match. The man formerly known as Dean Ambrose focused most of his efforts on The Cleaner, though. From that moment, we knew Moxley and Omega were on a collision course. Even though Mox will wrestle for AEW between now and All Out, his first marquee match will be against Omega.

AEW announcing Moxley versus Omega this week is no accident. Tickets for All Out go on sale this week, and what better way to appeal to fans than to announce a match of this magnitude? If you're planning on making the trip to Chicago for All Out, tickets go on sale today. Head to the link in the tweet above at noon EST for tickets. Best be quick though, as we imagine they'll sell out fast.
