It took only four minutes for general tickets to disappear as AEW's first event at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada has sold out.

This is huge news for All Elite Wrestling, the new startup wrestling promotion run by Cody Rhodes, the Young Bucks, and Kenny Omega. With the announcement or recent signings like Chris Jericho, Omega and talks with former WWE personalities like Batista, it's no wonder the tickets were a hot get and that fans from all around the country wanted to be a part of the company's first-ever event.

Excited about the news, the company took to social media to let fans know. They wrote, " Sat, May 25th in 4 Minutes "

Much like All-In sold out in minutes, the speed in which Double or Nothing has sold their tickets is merely a reflection of how badly fans want to be a part of what could be history in the making. Whether this new AEW promotion ever becomes real competition for WWE is unknown but there is clearly a demand for what AEW is offering and should they grow, land a television deal and become a direct competitor to WWE, people want to be a part of that growth.

As it stands, the card will include matches like Kenny Omega vs. Chris Jericho, PAC vs. "Hangman" Adam Page and The Young Bucks vs. Pentagon Jr. and Rey Fenix. Cody Rhodes will also take on a Mystery Opponent and the women of AEW will be represented as Dr. Britt Baker goes up against Kylie Rae and Nyla Rose.

As AEW adds more talent, they will surely be included on the card.

What This Means

Not everything has been smooth sailing for AEW. First, their pre-sale tickets sold out as well but many of those tickets were purchased by scalpers who went and listed the tickets on the secondary market for as much as triple the face value. Second, there is no guarantee this wave of popularity will last.

If AEW can run numerous shows back-to-back and sell out all of them, or if they can land a television deal then they know they'll be onto something big.
