AJ Styles and The Undertaker pulled off an amazing WrestleMania match earlier this year. The WWE superstars participated in the promotion's inaugural Boneyard match, which ended in Styles getting buried alive by The Deadman in a cinematic spectacle.

The lack of fans in the building forced WWE to get creative and they certainly rose to the challenge, with John Cena and The Fiend managing to provide a match that was just as entertaining.

Despite the rave reviews, Styles wasn't very enthusiastic over the prospect of fighting someone as iconic as Taker bereft of an audience. That is according to his former OC buddies Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson.

The pair have signed with Impact Wrestling and will be making their debut at the Slammiversary PPV on Saturday night. The stars took part in a live stream of the Talk’N Shop podcast ahead of their appearance and, per notes from Wrestlingnews.co, Styles wasn't happy with the fact that he couldn't give The Undertaker a proper sendoff.

"Anderson said AJ Styles was “so mad” when he hard that WrestleMania was being moved to the WWE Performance Center. Gallows said Styles thought that he would be able to send Taker out the right way but then they had to do the match without fans."

Of course, things ended up working out pretty well for AJ and Taker and the Boneyard match is now considered to be one of the best WrestleMania matches to ever grace TV, as were Cena and The Fiend's Firefly Fun House bout and Charlotte Flair's duel with Rhea Ripley.

AJ probably feels a whole lot better about the match now, given the reception,.
