AJ Styles Is The Only Man Who Can Bring Kenny Omega To WWE

Kenny Omega has already revealed the only thing that would make him sign with WWE. A WrestleMania showdown with AJ Styles.

We are currently less than two weeks into 2019 and the pro wrestling landscape has already changed drastically. The Young Bucks, Cody Rhodes, and Chris Jericho all wrestled their last matches for New Japan at Wrestle Kingdom 13. That's because the four of them and a whole host of other wrestlers are a part of brand new promotion, All Elite Wrestling.

One man's future who is still currently up in the air is Kenny Omega's. Despite still being a member of The Elite, The Cleaner was not a part of AEW's reveal on New Year's Day or the rally earlier this week. However, we do know that Omega will be taking a break from New Japan. He lost the promotion's World Title at Wrestle Kingdom and has said as much since.

However, for the time being, Omega is still under contract with New Japan. That means whatever he has planned cannot currently be revealed. Despite it being highly likely he joins AEW, there is still a chance he opts to try his luck in WWE. Vince McMahon has reportedly offered Omega a hefty contract, and if the rumors are true, the former IWGP Champion has met with the chairman.

Whatever Omega is thinking right now, it is unlikely that money will play a factor. In fact, during an interview with Wrestling Observer Newsletter in 2017, he explained what would convince him to sign with WWE. "The main reason I would go to WWE is because I would love to have a match against AJ Styles at WrestleMania," Omega told Dave Meltzer. "Before AJ hangs it up, and before I start to degenerate as an athlete, I really want to have a big match with him on the biggest stage possible."

Surprises are few and far between in wrestling these days thanks to social media. However, we are currently in a position where whatever Omega does will come as something of a surprise. Yes, most are expecting him to eventually show up in AEW, but if that is what's destined to happen, it'll still be cool when he does. Or, if he does opt for WWE, just imagine the pop when he comes out to challenge Styles.
