AJ Styles must be getting pretty sick of wrestlers low-blowing him by now. When edited together, it comprises almost a minute's worth of footage.
AJ Styles is not only one of the best wrestlers in WWE right now, he is arguably one of the greatest to ever step in the ring. Paul Heyman wasn't just trying to flatter him during that promo on SmackDown Live last week. The Phenomenal One really is breathing the same rarified air as legends such as Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart, and Ric Flair.
Some of the Superstars Styles currently shares a locker room with are clearly very aware of that. That's why a couple of them have had to resort to a certain move in order to stand a chance against him. The low-blow. An illegal strike to a certain part of the male anatomy that when performed, reduces even the best of wrestlers and biggest of beasts to their knees.
Shinsuke Nakamura continually used it as an equalizer when he feuded with Styles earlier this year, and Daniel Bryan dusted it off to help him win the WWE Title last week. Styles is lucky he already has four children because, at this rate, he won't be able to have any more. 2018 isn't the only year the SmackDown Live Superstar has had to endure a litany of low-blows. A video on Twitter highlights exactly how often wrestlers have resorted to using the most dastardly of moves on the former WWE Champion.
As you can see from the montage above, when edited together, the footage of low blows on Styles runs for almost a full minute. That's enough to make anyone's eyes water. It includes all of the shots from Nakamura, the kick courtesy of Bryan, and also when Dean Ambrose used the ropes to legally perform the move. Even Hall Of Famers Flair and Sting got in on the action during Styles' time at Impact.
Due to Styles losing the WWE Title before Survivor Series, there was no reason for him to be in Los Angeles. We're assuming that's why we didn't see him on the PPV or at the SmackDown Live taping two days later. Eventually, Styles will be back and looking for revenge on Bryan. If we were The Phenomenal One, we would retaliate in kind and kick the new WWE Champion right where it hurts most.
