If AJ Styles loses the WWE Championship at WrestleMania, then Dave Meltzer has speculated he could swap brands with Seth Rollins.

AJ Styles well and truly had the odds stacked against him when he defended his WWE Championship at Fastlane on Sunday night. In a one on one situation The Phenomenal One would fancy his chances against anyone, but with five other men in the ring, he didn't need to be pinned to lose his title. Lucky for him, that didn't happen though and Styles is still WWE Champion.

That means at WrestleMania 34, we will finally get Styles versus Shinsuke Nakamura for the first time ever in WWE and needless to say most fans couldn't be more excited. Raw might have the blockbuster rematch that is Roman Reigns up against Brock Lesnar, but SmackDown Live has the New Japan rematch that will almost definitely end up stealing the show on April 8, 2018.

It's anyone's guess what happens in that match and what takes place afterwards. Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer believes that if The King Of Strong Style is successful against Styles, then WWE will shift the latter over to Raw. The longtime wrestling journalist stated that Nakamura "probably shouldn't be losing" when the two do battle in New Orleans and after that The Phenomenal One will be the property of Monday nights.

Meltzer also pointed out that if WWE does move someone as good as Styles to Raw then "they better move somebody good to the other side." In his eye, the perfect replacement would be Seth Rollins and that logic is hard to argue with. Meltzer quite rightly stated that SmackDown Live has become pretty stale as of late and the introduction of The Architect would make for some interesting and fresh match ups.

SmackDown Live definitely needs a shakeup, and even though Fastlane has added a lot of intrigue heading into WrestleMania that will only be a temporary fix. After April 8, 2018, the blue brand needs some new Superstars and to offload those who have already done everything there is to do on Tuesday nights and are becoming stale. Swapping Styles and Rollins would certainly be a big change and the fresh match ups would create a lot of buzz right off the bat.
