A handful of disgruntled WWE superstars could look to jump ship and join the new All Elite Wrestling promotion, but don't expect A.J. Styles to be among those departing in the near future.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t Randall Ortman of Cageside Seats), Styles is expected to re-sign with the WWE after his contract expires in April. Styles has close ties with some talents in AEW, but the former WWE Champion and face of SmackDown Live looks bent on staying for the long run.

That's great news for the WWE and its fans, of course, since Styles might be the most popular superstar in the company right now. Losing him to an up-and-coming rival competitor would have been a huge loss, but WWE will have their world class performer secured after all.

Dean Ambrose is on his way out of WWE when his deal ends after WrestleMania 35, and the company confirmed this in a statement. PW Torch was first to report the news about 'The Lunatic' leaving, adding that he was unhappy with his character.

Rumors have suggested that Ambrose will look to join AEW, and if that's the case, it's easy to think that other disgruntled superstars will follow suit. At the end of the day, there are only so many spaces available for main event stars.

The Revival, along with Mike and Maria Kanellis, have also reportedly requested their releases from the WWE. Surely, AEW will come calling for them as well. This new promotion is bound to add plenty of talent, but fortunately for WWE, Styles won't be one o the guys leaving.

What This Means

Styles may very well go down as the best signing in recent WWE memory. He's more than over with the fans and has headlined countless shows. Simply losing him would have dealt a huge blow to the WWE product, but they've obviously done enough to keep Styles content - to the point where he's ready to sign a new deal.
