Alberto El Patron recently revealed that he has apologized to Triple H for things he said and that the door is open for him to return to WWE in the future.

No matter how badly a bridge might be burned between WWE and one of its former employees, there always seems to be a way back. Look no further than the likes of Bret Hart and Ultimate Warrior for perfect examples of that. Whoever thought we would see The Hitman in WWE ever again after the infamous Montreal Screwjob?

Despite that precedent, there really appears to be no way back for Alberto El Patron, otherwise known as Alberto Del Rio while under the WWE umbrella. While engaged to Paige, Patron said some incredibly derogatory things about WWE, most of which were specifically aimed at Triple H. The former WWE Champion was clearly still hurting following his release in 2016.

However, if Patron is to be believed, even his bridge to WWE is one that is not beyond repair. During a recent interview with Super Luchas, Patron revealed that he has patched things up with WWE and even met with Triple H in person. "I apologized and shook hands, even with Mr. Levesque [Triple H], with whom I do not agree on many things," Patron explained.

While Patron didn't reveal where he met with Triple H, he did say that now things have been cleared up, the door is open for him to return to WWE before he retires. Nothing has been agreed upon nor did the two parties make any future plans, but the Mexican star did say "before I hang up my boots I can have some last matches in WWE."

During his first stint with WWE, Patron actually had a pretty prominent spot on the card for quite a while. He's a two-time WWE Champion, two-time World Champion, and also won the 2011 Royal Rumble match. Patron not being held in such high regard when he returned for run number two may well have been what started his slippery slope to falling out with the company. Now though, the door is reportedly open and we could see him back in WWE one day.
