Alexa Bliss knows a little something about struggling with disorders. Now a top-level female Superstar in the WWE, it wasn't always coming up aces for Bliss who at one time had to overcome a life-threatening run-in with anorexia. So, when she consoled a little girl at MegaCon in Orlando, it made for a very special and emotional moment.

Bliss could sympathize with the young lady who shared her story of trying to get healthy from an eating disorder as Bliss battled similar illness in the fall of 2009 when she was a University of Akron cheerleader. It was her second time confronting the eating disorder.

Bliss asked the crowd to cheer for this young woman for being brave enough to talk about her issues and then called her up to the stage where she said:

"Don't let anyone ever tell you that you can do anything. Because even though you're struggling, I've been there. I remember I wanted someone to tell me I could get through it and it didn't have to define me. You are beautiful, you cannot let anyone tell you what you can or can't do and I'm so happy that you're getting healthier because you are beautiful inside and out.  And, please do not let anyone determine your self-worth."

Bliss got down to as low as 80 pounds at one point and had to leave school, go back to Columbus and seek professional help. While she's much healthier now, she's always working on her idea of self-image. In 2017 she said, “It’s not like, ‘Oh, you’re cured of anorexia.’ You’re never healed. You live with it the rest of your life. It’s not a sprint. It’s a marathon.”

Just recently Bliss was rumored to have gotten breast augmentation surgery. Whether that has anything to do with her idea of self-image is unknown but beauty, health, and image is something all women have to deal with, even Superstars in WWE.
