Those who doubted Cody Rhodes and his All-In show have been left eating their words as the 10,000 tickets sold out in less than 30 minutes.

The build to All-In, the biggest independent pro wrestling show of all time, began with a throwaway comment from The Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer. Meltzer was asked whether he believed Ring Of Honor could sell-out a 10,000 seat arena. The journalist replied that he didn't think so, and with that former ROH World Champion, Cody Rhodes went about proving him wrong.

Rhodes and his Bullet Club buddies The Young Bucks went about putting together a show. They have done it all themselves and the money to fund it came out of their own pockets. That alone makes it a huge risk. Eventually, they settled on holding the show in Chicago, a great choice considering the city's wrestling history, and began booking talent for the event.

This past weekend marked the first big milestone for the show—the tickets went on sale. For any pro wrestling promotion on the planet right now, aside from WWE, the prospect of trying to fill 10,000 seats must be pretty intimidating. Well, if you're reading this hoping to bag yourself a ticket, we have some bad news for you. Tickets for the show sold out in less than 30 minutes. In fact, according to Rhodes, the exact time came in at 29 minutes and 36 seconds.

There were an awful lot of people in the business who thought this couldn't be done. Meltzer was the first one of course, but he was certainly not the last. The time has now come for those people to eat their words, however, and hopefully, they are happy about the incredible sell out rather than salty about being wrong. An event like this is not just good for Rhodes and The Bucks, it is good for the wrestling business in general.

What makes the rapid sell-out even more impressive is the shape that the card is in at the moment. While a lot of names have been announced, only one match has been officially booked. That match is Rhodes shot at the NWA World Championship. Other than that, absolutely anything could happen, and that is undoubtedly the appeal of the event. It is going to be a huge show and an unmissable one for any and all wrestling fans.
