Asuka has reassured fans that she is okay after being dropped on her head during a match against Mandy Rose at a WWE live event.

Considering the amount of time and effort that has been out into the angle surrounding the Raw Women's Title, you'd be forgiven for forgetting that the SmackDown Live equivalent even still exists. It does, and the very talented Asuka is still in possession of it. In fact, The Empress will defend the championship at Fastlane this weekend versus Mandy Rose.

In preparation for their clash on PPV, the two seem to have been tying up at non-televised WWE live events. They did so on Monday night in White Plains, New York. However, things did not go to plan. A botched move resulted in Rose accidentally dropping Asuka on the side of her head. Judging by fan reactions on social media, it sounds as if it was an extremely scary moment.

Trainers rushed to Asuka's side and although she was on her feet and leaning against the apron, there seemed to be some expected concern. Fans who saw the incident assumed that the Japanese star will have suffered a concussion and maybe even a neck injury. Thankfully, it doesn't seem to be anywhere near as bad as that.

Asuka herself took to Twitter shortly after the incident to inform fans that she had hurt her back, but it was nothing serious. She also tweeted that "it is neither a concussion or a neck [injury]." Hopefully, we will see Asuka on SmackDown Live tonight and it will be confirmed that she's fine and fit to defend her title at Fastlane this Sunday. Plus, how about a hint towards who her WrestleMania opponent might be?

As touched upon above, Asuka and her championship have been overlooked somewhat amid the hype surrounding what is going on with Ronda Rousey's title. On the bright side, that leaves a big-time slot open at WrestleMania opposite The Empress. No offense to Rose, but we are hoping for a bigger name to challenge Asuka for the title on the grandest stage of them all.
