Johnny Impact defeated Austin Aries for the Impact World Title at Bound For Glory. It's what happened after the bell rang that has everyone talking, though.

Crown Jewel controversy aside, the biggest story in wrestling for the past seven days has been the heated feud between Austin Aries and Johnny Impact. The two of them competed in the main event of Bound For Glory this past weekend, and during the build, it was hard to tell where the work ended and their real feelings began.

It all started when Impact "short-shamed" Aries on Twitter. That lit a fire under A-Double who proceeded to insinuate that his rival's wife Taya Valkyrie was "husky" among other insults. Most of the tweets have since been deleted, but the damage had already been done. Things got physical between the two at the Impact Hall Of Fame ceremony on Saturday night. Again, fans were unable to tell if that was supposed to happen or not.

EXCLUSIVE: WHY AUSTIN ARIES' COMMENTS REALLY GOT UNDER JOHNNY IMPACT'S SKIN

If nothing else, it made a lot more people want to tune in to their match at Sunday night's Bound For Glory. The PPV's main event certainly delivered too and was incredibly newsworthy. For starters, Impact won the match and is now the new World Champion. He picked up the win by hitting the now former champion with Starship Pain from the top rope.

Despite the title change, what happened after the match is what has people talking. Immediately after the referee had counted three, Aries jumped to his feet as if the match and Impact's finisher had not affected him at all. He then aimed some inaudible comments at Impact VP Don Callis and walked up the ramp, flipping off the crowd as he went.

Aries is well known for being a pretty volatile guy which is why fans can't tell if what happened at Bound For Glory was a work or a shoot. Either way, jumping up from an opponent's finisher in the way that he did is pretty unprofessional. Nevertheless, Impact Wrestling has a new World Champion. Plus, it's highly likely that we have not seen the last of this rivalry.
