Rumors of WWE giving up on Bayley has rubbed fans of the huggable one the wrong way, so they've started a movement online.

Bayley hugged her way to the top of NXT and became one of the most popular talents on the roster, male or female. After doing all she could do and achieving all she could achieve in the WWE's development brand, she made her way up to the main roster with great fanfare. The only problem was, the hugger gimmick wasn't working.

After a few short months, Bayley wasn't able to have the same impact on the Raw brand that she did on the NXT brand and it started to concern WWE management. When she went down with injuries and missed time, Bayley lost all momentum.

Despite holding the WWE Women's Title and depsite having a large following of fans, a story surfaced that made Bayley's future in WWE look uncertain, if not bleak. On a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio (subscription required), respected reporter Dave Meltzer asserted that Bayley has lost the confidence of writers and management.

The words used were "given up" and it was being reported that the company had no plans to rehabilitate her character. That didn't sit well with the WWE Universe and a mini-movement has started on social media called: #GiveBayleyAChance.

Tweets like this one have popped up all over the social media platform and are spreading like wildfire. The WWE Universe is not prepared to see Bayley go away without at least putting up a fight and fans are rallying behind "The Hugger" to see if they can't get the WWE to change their stance on the NXT darling.

Some have labeled this as the #HugMovement and others have called it #GiveBayleyAChance. Some haven't given it a name and are just letting it be known that they don't agree with the WWE's stance that Bayley can't be a useful part of the women's roster.

To say the least, Bayley is in tough considering the number of female competitors that have recently been added to WWE programming. She's going to need more than just the fans to rally behind her cause. A match as good as some of the historical bouts she had with Sasha Banks would go a long way. She is one of the WWE's better in-ring performers and simply needs a chance to show that.
