We are well past the halfway point of 2019, and so far Bayley is leading the way in WWE when it comes to match victories.

Some of the things people within the industry say about wrestling in the present day can drive veterans crazy. That applies to both fans and wrestlers. Things like heels and faces don't exist anymore, and wins and losses don't matter. In all fairness, it isn't just older fans and wrestlers who are annoyed by those comments. Basically, anyone outside of WWE's head office is likely ticked off when they hear those phrases.

AEW promises to change that. The fledgling promotion has claimed a number of times that one of its cornerstones will be wins and losses. That the wrestlers challenging for championships will be the ones who have momentum behind them from match victories. We hope it follows through with that promise.

It might often appear as if wins and losses don't matter in WWE, but the Superstars with the most victories so far this year would beg to differ. A graphic created by DropKickKliq on Instagram shows the top five WWE Superstars with the most wins in 2019, and the top two are both current champions on SmackDown Live. Bayley and Kofi Kingston.

Kingston would have been our guess for top dog, especially considering the winning streak he went on after WrestleMania. However, the SmackDown Women's Champion has him beat by one match, or at least she did when the graphic was posted on July 26, 2019. From the start of the year until July 26, Bayley had racked up an impressive 70 wins. Kingston has an almost as impressive 69.

Making up the rest of the top five are Becky Lynch, Ricochet, and Finn Balor. Interestingly, all five Superstars have held gold in 2019, and three of them are currently champions. Perhaps winning in WWE actually means more than we initially thought. Based on the above graphic alone, it certainly seems as if wins equal titles. Then again, the current Universal Champion only has three wins so far this year, so maybe not so much.
