Bayley and Sasha Banks were once storyline best friends on Monday Night Raw, complimenting and congratulating the other while they combined for five Raw Women's Championships, with the latter winning four of them.

But after nearly a year of speculation, the duo finally broke up their friendship and have since began feuding. Things reached a boiling point on the final Raw episode before WrestleMania 34,  when the two got into a backstage brawl and had to be restrained by officials.

On this week's episode of Raw, Bayley had a strange interaction with one fan while she was busy hugging another.

'The Hugger' apologized on Twitter for the incident, but Banks used the opportunity to take a shot at her former friend:

Bayley then fired back with a savage response of her own:

This should only add more fuel to what's being built up as one of the best rivalries in the WWE today. Both Banks and Bayley have been perennial fan favorites, and it was long overdue for WWE to make a change with them.

Banks and Bayley are two of the best all-around female performers to come around, and their respective talents in the ring should only help build up a rapidly improving women's division.

Both talents stayed on Raw following the Superstar Shake-Up, and with Alexa Bliss, Nia Jax and Ronda Rousey highlighting the women's division on the red brand, there wasn't room for Bayley and Banks to continue coexisting as fellow babyfaces.

Bayley and Banks are building up their rivalry just fine over Twitter, and we can only hope they'll be able to apply it on Monday Night Raw from here on out. In just two short tweets, the duo have already taken this feud to another level. We can't wait to see what's next in store.
