Edge and Beth Phoenix are quickly starting to learn that you should not step to The Man on social media.
If there is one thing Becky Lynch does better than compete in the ring, it's compete on social media. Ever since her meteoric rise throughout the latter half of 2018, Lynch has reigned supreme over wrestling Twitter. Her victims include the likes of Ronda Rousey, Charlotte Flair, Lacey Evans, and even the man she is now supposedly dating, Seth Rollins.
Her latest target is a rather unexpected one. Beth Phoenix. The two shared a ring together, seemingly as friends, during WWE's current European tour. However, after the fact, Lynch tweeted Phoenix warning her not to get too close to her titles. The Glamazon replied, reminding The Man that the two of them are currently tied for title reigns in WWE.
Lynch responded to that in turn, commenting that the two are "neck and neck," a shot at Phoenix's husband Edge having to retire due to neck issues. That was enough for the 11 time World Champion to weigh in on the matter, accusing Lynch's gimmick before she became The Man as being "Edge Lite." We had never really thought of it that way, but he might have a point.
Things have only continued to escalate from there and honestly, may have escalated even further by the time you read this. Phoenix then asked Lynch "are we involving our men now." The Man replied again, this time saying "I'll ask him" and tagging Rollins. Although there have been rumors that the pair were dating, as far as we know, this is the first time either of them has acknowledged it publically.
Natalya, who is good friends with all parties involved, has added yet more fuel to the fire. The former Women's Champion questioned whether we could see Rollins versus Edge in the future. Fans were probably already thinking it, and then Nattie went and put it out into the universe. As Edge has said on multiple occasions, despite the reversal in fortunes for Daniel Bryan, his is an issue that cannot be resolved to the point that he will never be able to wrestle again.
