Corey Graves suggested on Twitter that Becky Lynch could use a little romance, and The Man responded as we have come to expect.
For those of you keeping count at home of how many people Becky Lynch has laid to rest on social media, please let us know as we have lost count. As good as The Man is with a mic in her hand on live television, she is twice as good with a phone in her hand composing a tweet. Just ask Seth Rollins, Conor McGregor, Charlotte Flair, Ronda Rousey. Do we need to go on?
Another name on that extremely long list is Corey Graves. After taking a pop at Lynch on commentary, the two of them sparred a little online. As quick-witted as The Savior Of Misbehavior can be, he was no match for The Lass Kicker. Nevertheless, this week Graves thought he would have another crack at Lynch on Twitter. Big mistake.
After Mandy Rose sent Jimmy Uso a photo of herself in a towel, in storyline, of course, Graves took to Twitter to double check Rose had his details. Shortly after that, he joked with Bayley about the two of them being involved in a romantic angle. A fan then quoted Graves' tweet and wrote that a romance storyline between the announcer and Becky Lynch might work. Graves replied, "she could use it."
Of all the things I could “use” in my life right now, a romance with a middle-aged emo poured into skinny jeans isn’t one of them. Maybe you should wait till Monday to reply, you know, when you’ll have help with what to say.— The Man (@BeckyLynchWWE) January 2, 2019
With that unwarranted jab, The Man leaped into action. Lynch labeled Graves "a middle-aged emo poured into skinny jeans," and that a romantic angle with him is the last thing she needs. Ouch, and she wasn't done. The former Women's Champion signed off by writing "you should wait till Monday to reply, you know, when you’ll have help with what to say."
Graves did not wait until Monday to reply. Even if he wanted to, he really couldn't have following what Lynch said. Instead, he replied relatively quickly and referred to The Lass Kicker as a bootleg McGregor. He also wrote another short tweet which reads "I look damn fine in these skinny jeans." Pretty good considering the situation and, most importantly, it will bring the curtain down on the latest chapter of this pair's Twitter beef. Graves will be hoping it does anyway.
