During her media tour for SummerSlam, Raw Women's Champion Becky Lynch said she'd love to face Sasha Banks if Banks could actually hack it in WWE.
Lynch will be facing Natalya at SummerSlam on Sunday night but before that match, she spoke with Sky Sports in Toronto about the pay-per-view and what might come next. During a round of questions, Lynch was asked if she was interested in defending her WWE RAW Women's Championship against a former four-time Women's Champion, Sasha Banks.
Answering as only The Man can, Lynch said, "Yeah, [I would be interested in facing her] if Sasha Banks could hack it and she didn't just get her jacket - and she's off crying like Ronda Rousey - then I would love to face her."
The issues between Sasha Banks and WWE have been well documented, most of what's going on being speculation that Banks was unhappy with her role in the company and losing the Women's Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania this past year. Lynch seized the opportunity to use those rumors and build toward a possible feud between the two. Lynch added, "But unfortunately, she couldn't take losing. She lost the [WWE Women's] Tag Team Championships and she was gone."
Lynch added that some people can't hack losing or step up when the pressure is on. Clearly, Lynch is not in that category considering she's the first woman to main event WrestleMania and the first woman to grace the cover of a WWE2k game.
What This Means
Lynch making comments about Banks' social media updates about the wind and butterflies and "whatever else she wants to put on her little social media crap" is good way for Lynch to find the motivation to call out Banks. Speculation is that Banks is ready to return to WWE and the company is just waiting for the right opportunity to bring her back.
Come fight me, Sasha, if you want it," Lynch finished. That sounds like a good enough reason to bring back The Boss.
