WWE fans were hit with some disappointing news on Tuesday, as Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com is reporting that Becky Lynch has been pulled from her Survivor Series match with Ronda Rousey.

It's believed that Lynch suffered a concussion and broken nose at the end of Monday Night Raw, when the female talents from the SmackDown Live roster invaded the show and began attacking the Alexa Bliss' team.

Lynch brutally attacked Rousey backstage by putting her in an armbar, before officials came in to stop her. The SmackDown Women's Champion then came out to confront the women from Raw, which led to a full-scale brawl six days before Survivor Series.

Per Sapp, The Irish Lass Kicker suffered the injuries while brawling with Nia Jax. Lynch was examined by doctors after the show, and she didn't immediately travel to St. Louis - the site of tonight's SmackDown Live show.

WWE hasn't officially announced yet that Lynch is injured and won't be competing against Rousey this Sunday. It's anybody's guess now what this means for Rousey - if she'll simply be pulled from the card or if WWE will throw in a last-minute opponent.

So far, only four women have been confirmed for Team SmackDown this Sunday: Asuka, Naomi, Carmella and Sonya Deville. That takes those four out as potential options to face Rousey on Sunday.

With rumors that Rosuey and Charlotte Flair could headline WrestleMania 35, it's unlikely WWE would throw in The Queen at the last moment, considering the tremendous buildup that would be required for such a match.

What This Means

Lynch has been on a roll since she turned heel at SummerSlam, emerging as the face of the women's division after she attacked Charlotte Flair that night. Even though Lynch is portraying a heel character, she's received massive cheers and ovations from the crowd - even from babyfaces like Charlotte.

It's devastating news for WWE fans, as Lynch vs. Rousey had the chance to be the best match of 2018. Both talents cut epic promos that provided excellent buildup for this dream match.

Fans can only hope that Lynch isn't sidelined long term, and that she'll be able to face Rousey in the near future. It's a shame this happened just days before the big match - and the creative team has a difficult task in deciding Plan B.

For now, the main hope is that Lynch's injuries aren't too serious, and she can get back to more Lass Kicking in the ring before long.
