Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has teased retirement since the end of the 2016 season, but it turns out the two-time Super Bowl champion isn't ready to hang up the cleats any time soon.

According to Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Roethlisberger is planning to play another three to five years. He's also not the least bit worried about the team drafting quarterback Mason Rudolph in the third round last week.

"If he's going to be their guy, that's great, but in my perfect world it's not going to be for a while," Roethlisberger said. "The way our O-line is put together, as good as they are, they kept me healthy as can be the last couple of years. I really feel I can play this game another three to five years."

After the Steelers lost to the New England Patriots in the 2016 AFC Championship Game, reports surfaced that Big Ben was considering retirement. But after they were eliminated by the Jacksonville Jaguars in this year's Divisional Round, Roethlisberger did admit he was planning to return for 2018.

Roethlisberger turned 36 years of age in March, but he simply just has to look at Tom Brady for inspiration. The Patriots quarterback won Super Bowls at the ages of 37 and 39, and nearly won another at 40 this past season. By staying healthy, Roethlisberger can easily play at a Pro Bowl level for several more years.

In 2017, Big Ben passed for 4,251 yards and 28 touchdowns, leading the Steelers to 13 wins - which was tied with three other teams for tops in the regular season. Having made the playoffs in four consecutive years, it'd be shocking if Roethlisberger decided to retire while still in his prime.

He owns most of the Steelers franchise records and is constantly among the league's top quarterbacks. Should Roethlisberger truly decide to play three to five more seasons, Pittsburgh could definitely win multiple Super Bowls.
