The Pittsburgh Steelers certainly knew that their Week 11 road contest with the Jacksonville Jaguars would be sloppy, mistake-filled, hard-hitting and extremely physical football.

Translation: This would be the most difficult and agonizing game on their schedule for the 2018 season. And even if the Jaguars (now 3-7), aren't a playoff contender in 2018, this is Pittsburgh's greatest feel-good win on the season thus far.

Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger threw three interceptions and was sacked twice in the game. With his team trailing 16-0 late in the third quarter, all hope looked lost.

But the Steelers rolled off 20 unanswered points to escape Jacksonville with a W. Big Ben scored the game-winning touchdown (a one-yard run), with five seconds left to win the game. With that, Jacksonville was left stunned after a sixth consecutive loss.

After the monumental victory, Roethlisberger threw shade at the Jaguars - who've become renowned for their high level of trash talk (specifically cornerback Jalen Ramsey).

"They are a really good defense. They like to talk a lot -- before the game, during the game," Roethlisberger said, via ESPN.com's Jeremy Fowler. "But I'm carrying the game ball home."

Roethlisberger quieted down Ramsey - who told GQ this August that the Steelers quarterback is "decent at best," while adding Antonio Brown is a key reason for Big Ben's success.

What this Means

It's a huge win for Roethlisberger and the Steelers, who finally solved their kryptonite.

The Jaguars defeated Pittsburgh twice on the road last season - including a Week 5 game in which Roethlisberger was picked off five times. Big Ben questioned if he even had "it anymore." The Steelers would lose just one more game the rest of the way to lock down a 13-3 record.

In the AFC Divisional Round, the Jaguars capitalized on a handful of Pittsburgh turnovers to escape with a hard-fought 45-42 victory. It came a decade after Jacksonville shocked Big Ben's Steelers in the 2007 Wild Card Round.

Pittsburgh now sits at 7-2-1 on the season, holding onto the second seed in the AFC. With big character wins like this, the Steelers continue to show that they have all the makings of a Super Bowl contender.
