WWE fans were given a scare over the weekend when NoDQ.com reported that Big Cass suffered an apparent knee injury during a show in Amsterdam on the WWE's European tour.

Big Cass suffered a torn ACL injury in his left knee last August, and he only returned a month ago. However, this latest knee injury appears to only be part of a storyline, judging by this tweet from WWE.

A fan in attendance had sent a tweet that showed Cass limping around and looking visibly frustrated. Thankfully, this isn't anything to worry about after all.

Knee injuries are always scary and among the worst a WWE superstar/professional athlete can suffer. Given the fact Cass just returned from a torn ACL, it was natural for fans to panic right away in seeing him limp around.

Prior to his torn ACL injury, Big Cass was reportedly in line to receive a major push. It all started to unfold when he backstabbed former tag team partner Enzo Amore, while also challenging Big Show in a series of matches.

But he fell awkwardly during a Brooklyn Street Fight match against Amore, and Big Cass needed to be assisted by officials as he left the ring. Amore was fired by the WWE in January following sexual assault allegations, which meant Cass would obviously need a new feud/storyline when he returned.

The 7-foot-tall giant has engaged in a feud with Daniel Bryan and continues to portray the ultra heel character. Cass has received plenty of momentum in just a month of returning, so another bad knee injury would have been brutal.

Thankfully, he appears to be just fine, and Cass is set to challenge Samoa Joe for a spot in the Money in the Bank ladder match. That promises to be one fine match between two dominant forces.
