Big Cass has been pulled from his Money in the Bank qualifying match against Samoa Joe - who will now face the winner of Jeff Hardy vs. Daniel Bryan - according to SmackDown Live general manager, Paige.

For those unaware, NoDQ.com reported that Big Cass suffered an apparent left knee injury during a live show in Amsterdam. A fan in attendance tweeted out videos of the 7-foot giant limping around and visibly frustrated.

It's an immediate concern for WWE fans, given that it's the same knee in which Big Cass tore his ACL last August. A tweet from WWE Sunday seemed to hint that his latest knee injury was part of storyline, but with Paige pulling Cass from his qualifying match, things appear to be sinister after all.

Big Cass was competing in a tag team match with The Miz against Bryan and Tye Dillinger when he apparently injured his knee. The report from NoDQ.com said that a referee helped Big Cass exit via the side entrance, rather than the ramp that led them to backstage.

In August of last year, Big Cass tore his ACL after landing awkwardly in a Brooklyn Street Fight against Enzo Amore. He had to be helped backstage by officials and would miss eight months of action.

Knee injuries can be very serious and keep out superstars long-term, so there's immediate concern about Big Cass here. There is no official word if the injury is serious, nor if it's legitimate.

Big Cass was in the midst of a bigger push last year before his torn ACL. He was in the midst of a feud with Bryan before this injury, suggesting WWE was going to continue building upon his big push. But if the injury turns out to be legitimate and serious, Big Cass will once again have to wait for his opportunity.

We'll be sure to provide more information as it becomes available.
