Big Cass suffered a seizure during a House Of Hardcore at the old ECW Arena this past Saturday night.

Every now and again when a wrestler and WWE part ways, fans are never really told the whole story regarding what exactly went down. Neville is a great recent example of that. The former Cruiserweight Champion apparently walked out of a Raw one week and we never saw him in WWE again. In fact, we didn't see him in wrestling at all for more than a year.

Another wrestler who left WWE without any real explanation was Big Cass. Earlier this year, the seven-footer was released by WWE and we never really learned why. There are rumors that Cass had been causing trouble for the company backstage and on tours, but nothing was ever confirmed. Following Cass's 90-day non-compete clause, he returned to wrestling on the independent circuit.

Due to his size, pedigree, and history with WWE, Cass hasn't had any problem getting booked on the indies. In fact, he was due to play a part in the House Of Hardcore event taking place this past Saturday. However, before ever making it to the ring, Cass suffered a seizure and was taken to the hospital. Wrestling Observer Live has reported the seizure happened during the show's intermission.

"He came out for I guess the intermission to sell stuff and as he was walking out, he collapsed, fell face-first, landed on his face, and had a seizure," Bryan Alvarez explain on WOL. Tommy Dreamer was there at the time, along with Bubba Ray Dudley, and even though it was a scary situation, Cass was reportedly responsive by the time he was being loaded into the ambulance.

Dreamer came to the ring later in the evening to address the situation and assured fans that the seizure Cass suffered was not brought about by drug use. At the time of typing this, what caused the seizure is unclear and we are not sure how Cass is doing. That he was responsive shortly after the seizure is a good sign, though. We hope he is doing well, recovers quickly, and our thoughts are with him at this time.
