Since his main roster debut at WrestleMania 29, it has been clear that the WWE has constantly tried to have big plans for Big E. First, he was paired with Dolph Ziggler and AJ to learn the ropes and then given a decent little singles run. But with such a deep roster, he had a hard time sticking out.

Until The New Day. Big E’s charisma shone through and was an integral part in making sure The New Day became one of the preeminent acts of the past decade. Now that he’s a singles star again, the big guy desperately needs a new finisher.

The Big Ending’s Flat

Big Ending On Miz

For a man with the size and power of Big E’s Big Ending looks pretty flat and less painful than sitting on a whoopee cushion. Big E simply hoists a guy onto his shoulders and then falls down onto his own derrière - where on earth is any opponent getting hurt on this move?! Most mid-card guys shot to the top when changing their finish (Stun Gun to Stunner, anyone?). While Big E himself might liken it to an RKO to the body, for Big E to truly breakthrough, he needs to update his finisher, and we have a few suggestions.

The Jackhammer

Goldberg Jackhammer

Perhaps the most obvious choice is almost too obvious. But between Big E’s love for Goldberg and his own massive physique, the Jackhammer suplex could be the big-time move that leads Big E straight to the top.

But with a move as iconic as Goldberg’s, Big E would have to put his own twist on the move. Perhaps even more of a snap to the suplex portion. Even better, either drop the guy right on his head or let them go before snatching them right back to power slam them instead. This also runs the risk of being too similar to Keith Lee's Big Bang Catastrophe, so what about something else?

The Double Powerbomb

Jack Swagger Gutwrench Powerbomb

Currently, very few wrestlers on the roster are using the Powerbomb as a finish. Not only is it the kind of move that Big E could pull off and make it look devastating. But he’s also the kind of monster that can pull off the Double Powerbomb, ala Chris Jericho from his early WWE days.

Jericho used to bomb opponents and as the referee would start their count, he’d jerk them back up for a release Powerbomb. Imagine if Big E tapped back into his five-count days. After he nails the first Powerbomb, he asks for the five-count before delivering the second one for the complete five-count victory.

Multiple Suplexes

Taking one look at the largest member of The New Day, and it’s easy to see he has the power to easily clean and jerk any opponent up and heave them around the ring. He has a similar physique to Taz, albeit a taller version.

Big E doesn’t have to become the Human Suplex Machine but perhaps in the middle of an explosive comeback, he can start clapping his hands and get ready to snatch his opponent up for a new version of the T-Bone Tazplez, the Big Eplex. Similar to Taz, Big E could get a smidge more serious than his current fun-loving character. Launching opponents into the air with seemingly reckless abandon would a perfect alteration to the character.

Big E As IC Champ

There has been a lot of locker room chatter about this being Big E’s time and his own dreams of being the Intercontinental Champion heading into WrestleMania 38 against Roman Reigns for the Universal Title. While he has stated that he refuses to alter his character too heavily, the former Mr. Langston (Big E's lack of a last name is a big sticking point on The New Day's podcast) really needs to update his fluffy-looking Big Ending into a much more flashy and powerful-looking big ending.
