Big E believes that his New Day partner, Kofi Kingston deserves more than he gets in WWE following his most recent broken record.
There are a number of wrestlers in WWE who are simply overlooked and taken for granted. There always has been and there likely always will be, especially with the size of the present day roster which continues to grow. There is simply not enough room at the top of the mountain for everyone and not all of those who are deserving will get their turn.
One man who has waited patiently for that chance for so so long is Kofi Kingston. The New Day member has been a WWE Superstar for 12 years and has done an incredible amount during that time. A multiple time Tag Team Champion, United States Champion, Intercontinental Champion, plus all of his memorable moments in Royal Rumble matches over the years.
All of that might leave you wondering how on Earth Kingston falls into the underappreciated category of WWE Superstars. Well, a World Title run is still missing from the veteran's resume. We're not the only ones who think that Kingston as a World Champion is long overdue either. His good friend and tag team partner, Big E has also called for WWE to give Kingston more.
.@TrueKofi has the most days as a tag team champion in the history of WWE. Never failed a drug test. Never had a brush with the law. Always a professional to the highest degree. Give this man his flowers while he can still smell them.— Florida Man (@WWEBigE) September 25, 2018
The New Day member tweeted Kingston on Tuesday congratulating him for becoming the WWE Superstar with more days as a Tag Team Champion than anyone else. The former NXT Champion also highlighted the fact that Kingston has never failed a drug test or been in trouble with the law. Big E signed off by writing "give this man his flowers while he can still smell them."
There has been a lot of talk about when WWE will break up New Day recently, however, Xavier Woods put a stop to that by saying the trio will never split. He also added that each of them can have successful singles runs while still being a part of the highly successful tag team. Time will tell if WWE sees eye to eye with Woods on that, and it will be interesting to see if any of the team's members become World Champions in the future.
