Money In The Bank has quickly been described as one of WWE's bigger pay-per-views of the year. While it might not be at the same level as Summerslam, Survivor Series, Royal Rumble, and Wrestlemania, the stakes are no less important with the winner of two matches getting a guaranteed shot at the reigning WWE Champion. This year, MITB has a lot of hype surrounding it and thus a few rumors that are important to note.

Daniel Byran takes on Big Cass, Asuka challenges Carmella and Ronda Rousey could win the Raw Women's Title from Nia Jax. Seth Rollins takes on Elias and Roman Reigns battles Jinder Mahal. Oh ya, and Bobby Lashley takes on Sami Zayn in a match people just want to be over with already.

Here are the biggest rumors heading into the Money in the Bank this Sunday.

All Sorts of News Surrounding Daniel Bryan

via wwe.com

Recently, Daniel Bryan was added to the card but in a match against Big Cass that few people care to see. Why? First, Bryan was on his way to being part of the ladder match, but it sounds like WWE was concerned he could get hurt and they're still keeping a close eye on his health after every match. Second, Bryan hasn't re-signed to extend his contract with WWE and as such, if he's not going to stick around, WWE is not going to put him in a high profile spot.

It's not speculated Bryan will lose to Big Cass. But, he might not be thrust into anything other than a feud with The Miz if things don't start to work themselves out contract wise. As a result, his match with Cass is more filler than anything.

Seth Rollins to Lose IC Title

There is some speculation that Elias might win the Intercontinental Title on Sunday vs. Seth Rollins. While Elias would be a worthy and entertaining Intercontinental Champion, this is less about him and potentially more about setting up Rollins to make a run at the Universal Title at SummerSlam.

The match between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns is potentially being changed and Rollins might be the guy to take his place. Elias just so happens to be the beneficiary of Rollin's promotion.

Rousey's In Or Out For the Title?

via WWE.com

The Raw Women's Championship is set to be contested as Ronda Rousey challenges Nia Jax after Jax told Rousey she was ready to face the best. Of course, since then, Jax has been flip-flopping her attack strategy, one day being a bully and the next day saying Rousey isn't WWE ready yet. It's been a strange couple weeks to watch how the writers have worked this angle together.

However, part of what's going on here could be some uncertainty when it comes to Ronda herself. There are rumors recently she's only on a one-year contract with WWE which understandably limits the company's desire to push her all the way to the top. There is also concern about how a single's match might make her look if she's not ready to carry a 10-minute contest.

The Wrestling Observer is suggesting this could be a short match. Whether Rousey wins the title or not is still unclear— but it looks like she'll leave the champion.  There is also a rumor that this match might actually close the pay-per-view which is strange if WWE is unsure of how Rousey will fair without partners to help her.

The Ladder Matches

via wwe.com

Rumors are that The Miz will win the men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match and that Lana could be the surprise victor in the Women's match. Both were being largely ignored or took losses leading up the pay-per-view. With WWE's typical rule of 50/50 booking, that might mean these two get the win when they need it most.

The only pitfall to this theory with Lana is that she wouldn't likely look strong in a match with Carmella if Carmella retains, which is also the rumor. The odds are going down on Ember Moon right now as the favorite.

PW Insider is noting that Big E will be the one member of New Day to enter the match, but that it might not be announced until the match actually starts.
