Don't Expect Blood Or Piledrivers At WrestleMania

We all know that the WWE is heading down to New Orleans, Louisiana for WrestleMania 34, but with that attention comes plenty of other wrestling promotions like Progress, Rev Pro, CZW and Ring of Honor. However, all wrestling companies will have to play by some very strict rules that were recently handed down by the Louisiana Wrestling Commission.

The rule of biggest note to come out of this is the fact that no one is allowed to use blood or piledrivers during any show. While that may not affect WWE too much as they are PG and don’t use these anyway, it could be an inconvenience for some other shows especially if they were planning a hardcore match over this weekend. At the end of the day, this is just a safety precaution, and the other promotions will get by just fine without using them, but there are definitely much more dangerous things to use in wrestling.

That was the most noteworthy thing about this report, everything else relates to wrestlers  and promoters needing licenses. On top of that, all the performers will need to have blood work tests to prove that they are HIV negative, as well as Hepatitis B and C negative. This is all before the shows, and once the day of the show arrives, these wrestlers will have to undergo a physical evaluation at the arena with the Wrestling Commission sending an official to do all of these tests.

It may seem very strict to some people, but the LWC are just being safe as they don’t want any fatalities or even tragedies at all while the WWE and everyone else is in town, so although it seems rigorous and strict, we completely understand.

So what do you guys think? Does all this seem fair? Is it a bit too much for something that these performers do all the time? Will you miss blood and piledrivers? Let us know all your thoughts in the comments below.
