With NXT War Games II right around the corner, as we do for every big WWE pay-per-view, we're looking at the matches on the card and trying to make our bold predictions.

With this particular NXT event— one that is likely to steal a ton of thunder from Survivor Series —  just two days away, the card is definitely interesting. This is now the second installment of the War Games spectacular after William Regal brought it back in 2017. The idea that it was so nice to do it twice is quite true in this instance. There's also a potential classic between Aleister Black and Johnny Gargano, a fifth go-round between Shayna Baszler and Kairi Sane, and an NXT Heavyweight Championship match that might be a match of the year candidate when all is said and done.

What will be the match to watch? Which bout steals the show? All have a good chance and many better than anything WWE will offer on Sunday at Survivor Series. Here are our bold predictions for NXT Takeover: War Games II.

War Raiders, Pete Dunne & Ricochet vs The Undisputed Era In War Games Match

via wwe.com

There were some who questioned WWE bringing back the popular WCW event War Games and changing some of the key aspects of the match. But, not only did they pull it off, it was a big success. The match was high-paced, fun to watch and with the right people involved, future installments should always be up for one of the better matches of the year. This year, NXT went with one team who already knows the match well versus another that has some incredible skills that make this bout a must see.

The promotion has included players who are fun to watch but will be exciting in the two cages where mayhem and violence will rule the day. Even better, NXT has intertwined feuds with the match, making for scenarios we won't be able to see anywhere else and drama the match might not have otherwise offered.

The question is, will The Undisputed Era walk away two-time winners? Our prediction is that they won't.

Prediction: War Raiders, Pete Dunne & Ricochet Win

Velveteen Dream vs Tommaso Ciampa For The NXT Championship

via wwe.com

Velveteen Dream might not have been the first choice to face Tommaso Ciampa but with Johnny Gargano and Aleister Black not in the title picture thanks to a battle with each other, Dream became the next available option and he's a huge fan favorite. In fact, he's got such a groundswell of support, there may be an upset in the making here.

That said, Dream isn't loved by everyone and NXT may choose to tease the idea of him as the champion only for Ciampa to hang onto it, which in the long run, will make Dream winning it that much sweeter. It will also give NXT bookers a feel for how it will go over when is made a champion. This feels like one of those matches where Dream comes close a number of times only to not pull it out at the end.

Prediction: Tommaso Ciampa Retains

Shayna Bazler vs Kairi Sane For The NXT Women's Championship Match

via wwe.com

We've seen this match multiple times before but that doesn't mean we shouldn't be excited to see it again. In fact, the more we see it, the better it seems to get.

In the Mae Young Classic Finals, Sane took the victory. In the rematch, the win went to Baszler. In the rubber match, Sane won again, that time winning the NXT Women's Championship. In their fourth and most recent match, Baszler tied it up at two wins apiece. This fifth and likely final match should settle the score.

Who does WWE see a bigger future in? Our guess is that it's Baszler.

Prediction: Baszler Retains and Wins The Series

Aleister Black vs Johnny Gargano

via wwe.com

This may be the most highly anticipated match on the card. Gargano cost Black the NXT Championship when he interfered in the Black versus Ciampa match. From that moment on, these two were plotted on a collision course. When Black was left laying and questions abound as to who may have put him there, it was revealed it was Gargano was the one who attacked him. This match is all about Black's revenge.

But, it's not as if Gargano doesn't have something to gain here with a win. Should Tommaso Ciampa retain his title, Gargano will immediately rekindle his feud with the champion (he likely does even if Ciampa is not the champ). If Dream wins, Gargano would be next in line.

Prediction: Gargano Wins, Moves on to fight for NXT Championship
