During an interview on The Hall of Fame show, Booker T made some interesting comments regarding the potential war between WWE and AEW.

There are many expecting an all-out war between AEW and WWE. While AEW has not called WWE their competition, WWE referred to AEW this weekend at a talent-only meeting as a competitor they need to be keeping an eye on. Not everyone agrees.

Current analyst for WWE and Hall of Famer, Booker T warns fans not to get ahead of themselves when it comes to seeing a war for ratings or for either company to try and go toe-to-toe. It probably just won't happen.

During a recent interview on The Hall of Fame with Booker T and Brad Gilmore, Booker said he thinks AEW is better served to stay in their own lane, carve out their own niche and avoid trying to say they can "out-wrestle" WWE competitors. While WWE is considered more of an entertainment product than a wrestling company, there's no denying the fact that some of WWE's talent can "go in the ring."

Booker said:

“WWE has the most talent in the world. We got everyone on the roster and it wouldn’t be that hard to flip the script and go a different route." Naming roster stars like Ricochet, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Kofi Kingston, Booker says WWE has no problem getting in a "wrestling battle" and letting those guys loose. It's probably not something AEW should want either.

What This Means

Booker did say, just the existence of AEW with a new tv deal will have everyone upping their game. He recalled being in WCW and watching guys like Triple H go out there and give it everything they had in an effort to be better. He expects to see that again with today's talent. He explained, “The guys are going to have to think totally different as far as How do I make the fans come out here and cheer my name, how do I make the fans think of me as an entity?”
