Booker T is continuing to knock on WWE's door when it comes to an in-ring return, stating once again that he is ready to come back at a moment's notice.

WWE is currently in the business of bringing back faces from the past. Although let's be honest, when has it not been? Right now though, that has escalated, mainly due to the deal between the company and Saudi Arabia. Evidently, money talks, especially when there is an awful lot of it.

The main event at WWE Crown Jewel, if it does manage to go ahead as planned, will be the Brothers Of Destruction versus D-Generation X. If you combine the ages of the four men involved in that match then it tallies up to more than 200 years. Great if you're craving a hit of nostalgia, not so great if you're a current WWE Superstar under the age of 45.

It seems that another former star is looking to cash in on WWE's willingness to bring back faces from the past. That man is Booker T. The WWE Hall Of Famer is 53, the same age as the returning Shawn Michaels. In a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Booker revealed that if WWE asked him to make an in-ring return right now, he would do it in a heartbeat.

"When I stepped in the ring with Jeff Jarrett to win the heavyweight championship, it was my time, and I was prepared for it," Booker told SI, "so if WWE was to ask me to do a match today, I would be prepared for it." Even though he's 53, the six-time World Champion looks like he is currently in impeccable shape. He was also on a recent episode of SmackDown Live to celebrate New Day's fifth Tag Team Title win.

In fact, Booker made an appearance on WWE television as recently as Tuesday. He and Jerry Lawler called some of the action for The Bar's match versus New Day. He still does a lot of work with WWE when it comes to commentary and kickoff shows, but do they want him back for a match? We can't see why not, even if it's just a one-off or a multi-person affair.
