Brandi Rhodes has revealed that she's been the victim of a constant string of online death threats.

The All Elite Wrestling chief brand officer, who's the wife of Cody Rhodes, has seemingly grown tired of all of the negativity she's been receiving on social media and hit out the perpetrators in a series of tweets on Sunday.

"The climate of hate is SO strong," she wrote. "It’s so sad. Social media is just flooded with hate and people wishing others would fail, die or likely both. Scary how bitter people have become to spew such vile things. I feel bad and sad for humanity. Disappointing world to be apart of.

"I get death threats and hate spewed at me daily. I’m not alone. If you have a blue check you are just preyed upon for no reason. You can’t even defend yourself because “you’re better than that”. Better than everyone?! Is that why we are treated this way?

"And people feel okay with themselves at the end of the day. You’re sad, bitter and angry at all of the wrong people. People you’ve never met. Never had a conversation with. You hate us and wish we would die. How embarrassing that must be to know how shallow and selfish you are."

Of course, a user accused Brandi of doing just about the same thing, prompting a response from the AEW performer, who asked for an example.

Nothing's come up so far, save a kayfabe threat to promote the Fight for the Fallen PPV, which didn't come from the accuser and makes very little sense anyhow.

Persons in any kind of spotlight who have a social media presence will likely come across online abuse at some point; it comes with the territory. There's nothing against voicing an opinion or even a bit of trolling from time to time. Death threats and the like, however, are simply unacceptable.
