Bret Hart is doing his best to clear the air — or get the last word — when it comes to existing drama between himself and Martha Hart, over Owen's absence from the WWE Hall of Hame.

The issues between Bret and Martha started when Bret took part in an interview with CBS In This Corner podcast and called Martha a "very obtuse, square-headed person." He made those comments because he felt she was purposely keeping Owen's name out of the WWE Hall of Fame and while doing so, removing Owen's legacy and memory from the many fans who want to see him enshrined.

Marth responded by saying Bret's comments were, "reckless, irresponsible, and clearly untrue." She claims the sole reason she's not willing to work with WWE is because she still holds them responsible for Owen's untimely and unfortunate passing.

In an effort to clarify, Bret wanted to make additional points in the back and forth and offered more of an explanation in a Facebook post.

You can read the post in its entirety above but Hart's comments are highlighted by references to Martha "refusing to work with WWE" and distancing herself from the wrestling business, all while conveniently refusing to acknowledge the legacy of Stampede Wrestling, Owen's work in WWE, and how she has accepted and still does, royalty cheques from that very same company. Bret is not just fighting for Owen to be in the Hall of Fame, but Martha to recognize his legacy, to let the family (Owen's children) be a part of one another's lives and to not brush off what Owen had accomplished.

From a fan perspective, Owen not being in the Hall of Fame feels like a void that needs to be filled. That said, Martha's issues with Owen's death are still very real and sometimes, that sort of healing just takes more time.
