Bret Hart tweeted out a touching tribute to his late brother Owen.

Owen Hart is one of the most talented and beloved performers in the history of the entire wrestling industry, and his tragic passing in 1999 is one of the most devastating things to ever happen in-ring. Still, the impact was obviously felt much more by the Hart Family, who now pay tribute to him on what would have been his birthday. No one in the world was closer to Owen than his brother, Bret "The Hitman" Hart, and on the day that he would have turned 53, Bret took to Twitter to remind the WWE Universe and Owen how much he misses him, and how vows to keep his memory alive.

"I miss you every day Owen, and I vow to keep your memory alive despite the efforts to let you fade away," Bret tweeted.

Among wrestling fans and analysts, the memory of Owen will never die, as he is renowned for being incredibly talented, as well as being one of the most genuine and fantastic people to be around behind the scenes. Yet it appears that Bret is referencing the people that want to keep him out of his rightful place in the WWE Hall of Fame.

During the past Hall of Fame induction ceremony, Mark Henry reached out to Owen’s widow to finally allow the WWE to induct the deceased star where he truly belongs, but as of now, there has been no step in that direction as far as we are aware. It has to happen one day, and we all truly believe it will be, as it’s what Owen deserves as one of the greatest to ever step foot in the ring, but as of now, only time will truly tell.

Aside from being real-life brothers, Bret and Owen but on absolute classics while standing across from one another in the ring. Their bouts at WrestleMania 10 and SummerSlam 1994 are considered some of the best wrestling matches ever, and those are only the tip of the iceberg when discussing the talent Owen possessed.

So what do you guys think? Does Owen Hart deserve a spot in the Hall of Fame? Is WWE finally going to be able to induct him? Were you lucky enough to witness Owen in his prime inside a wrestling ring? As always, let us know all your thoughts and ideas in the comments below.
