Former Universal Champion Brock Lesnar has been advertized for SmackDown's debut on Fox in October.

The WWE superstar lost the title to Seth Rollins at SummerSlam on Sunday, with the Beast Slayer putting on an inspired performance to reclaim the top spot on Raw.

With SmackDown set to air a special episode to kick things off on Fox on October 4, Brock could be making his first advertized appearance on the blue brand in over 15 years.

The show, which will be held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, will feature several big names and Brock's is one of them, according to a tweet from the arena's official Twitter account.

If Brock does indeed feature, it will be his first advertized appearance on the show since he left WWE to pursue a career in football in 2004.

Of course, it won't be the first time he's featured on SmackDown since then. In fact, he showed up to attack Randy Orton earlier this month as payback for the Viper giving him an RKO on Raw the previous night.

Other big names have been advertized as well, with Kurt Angle, Lita, Mick Foley, Booker T, Hulk Hogan, Trish Stratus, Goldberg, Jerry Lawler, Mark Henry, Ric Flair & Sting all listed.

WWE is reportedly trying to get The Rock to make an appearance too. The parties were said to be in talks last month but that's all we have so far. And, given the fact that Staples hasn't included his name in their tweet, he probably hasn't agreed yet.

WWE knows better than to keep a Dwayne Johnson appearance secret in this case as they want their first episode of SmackDown on Fox to be a success. With The Rock involved, it would be an easy sell for fans, but the Hollywood star recently revealed having quietly retired from wrestling and it could be hard to secure a booking.

Brock also brings in views and ratings whenever he decides to show up so him being advertized this early could be a sign that WWE is looking to milk this as much as they can.
