Any speculation about Brock Lesnar possibly leaving the WWE ended when he emerged victorious over Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 34 - followed by the announcement that he had also signed a new contract.

However, there have been different reports from multiple sources about the contract's details and term. According to a report from PWStream, Lesnar will get paid per appearance in his new deal:

Assuming this is the true contract, then it definitely is a win-win for Lesnar, the WWE and UFC. The Beast Incarnate can work for both promotions where he shines as a major star for both.

Before WrestleMania 34, UFC president Dana White did confirm that Lesnar would be returning to the octagon. That led to speculation that Lesnar would drop the title to Reigns, then leave the WWE for good.

However, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that Lesnar's new contract was kept behind closed doors backstage. Reigns was actually expecting to beat Lesnar at WrestleMania, but he was informed of Lesnar re-upping with WWE and learned The Beast would retain his championship.

On top of that, Meltzer also reported that Lesnar's new deal with WWE was short-term and would expire before the SummerSlam pay-per-view on Aug. 19. Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com also reported that Lesnar's contract was short-term.

With the conflicting reports about Lesnar's contract, WWE fans can only hope they'll get an answer soon enough. Given how much money he makes with the WWE, it's difficult to envision Lesnar leaving in the near future, so there's probably no reason to panic about a pending departure.

The only thing we know for sure about Lesnar is that he'll defend his title against Reigns in a Steel Cage match at the Greatest Royal Rumble pay-per-view on Apr. 27. The rest is unclear for the time being.
