It seems as if a date has finally been agreed upon for Brock Lesnar to return to the octagon. This August at UFC 240.

Brock Lesnar is currently preparing for a match against Seth Rollins this weekend at WrestleMania. The Beast will be looking to remain Universal Champion, a title he won back in 2018 after it was vacated by Roman Reigns. Although most fans will want to see Lesnar lose, the signs that he might well win continue to stack up.

Earlier this week, we reported that the betting odds for the title match had changed. Before now, Rollins had been the favorite heading into the bout. However, with just days to go, that momentum has now shifted. Lesnar is currently a slight favorite although truth be told, the two Superstars are pretty much neck and neck at this point.

Fresh rumors that a date has been set for Lesnar's UFC return might well spark hope in the hearts of Rollins fans. ESPN's Ariel Helwani has reported that his fight with Daniel Cormier will indeed go ahead. At the moment, the proposed event for the heavyweight fight will be UFC 240. Although that event currently has no exact date or venue, it will take place this August.

Even if the above turns out to be true, there is still no guarantee Lesnar will lose at WrestleMania. The Universal Champion has fought for UFC while under contract with WWE before and could well do it again. There are actually reports that the latest deal Lesnar signed with WWE dictates that he is allowed one fight in UFC. He could well be about to cash in on that to take on Cormier later this year.

Chances are fans are going to be upset at least once this Sunday. Not every single babyface can achieve their goal, especially with some of the stories that have been told during the build. Of the very biggest matches, Lesnar versus Rollins is the one we can imagine not having a fairytale ending. UFC or not, this current Lesnar title reign could well continue beyond this weekend.
