Kenny Omega lost a match for the AEW Title to Brodie Lee's son during the December 17, 2020, tapings of Dynamite.

The finish line to 2020 is in sight and it's almost time to leave what has been a terrible year behind for just about everyone. However, it found a way to hit us one more time this weekend, and for wrestling fans, this may have been the hardest punch to the gut of the year so far. The shocking news that Jon Huber, otherwise known as Brodie Lee and Luke Harper in wrestling circles, has passed away.

Tributes have been pouring in from anyone and everyone who shared a locker room with Lee during his career. The former TNT Champion also leaves behind a wife and two young sons. Huber's wife has issued a statement regarding her husband's passing, revealing that his death was caused by a non-COVID-related lung issue.

Huber's wife and sons were actually in attendance at the December 17, 2020, Dynamite taping. In fact, Huber's eight-year-old son Brodie was involved in a dark segment after Dynamite went off the air. The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega tried to convince young Brodie to join The Elite, which prompted his dad's Dark Order to come to the ring and start a brawl with the trio.

The brawl ended with a match between Brodie and Omega for the AEW Championship. Brodie won the bout, jumping on The Cleaner's back and choking him out. It was only symbolic, of course, an eight-year-old isn't really AEW's World Champion. However, it's now clear that the gesture was a lot more than an early Christmas present for the son of a wrestler who loves the business.

It was a present for a boy going through what will almost definitely be one of the hardest periods of his life. Perhaps even a way to take his mind off of what his dad was going through, even if it was just for a moment. We're also hopeful that the match was taped and Huber was able to see it. If he did, even though it isn't how he likely envisioned that moment, he will have at least had the chance to see his son's first-ever wrestling match.
