Bully Ray is being investigated by ROH for an alleged incident that happened at an ROH event over the weekend. His account and the one described by the fan vary greatly.

This strange story started early Monday when a fan took to social media to describe what he could only call an unfortunate incident that had him sour on ROH as a fan. According to the fan, he was at an ROH event booing Allure (Velvet Sky, Angelina Love and Mandy Leon). He called his behavior not out of the ordinary as he talked trash to the bad guys and cheered the good guys.

The exchange between he and Velvet Sky, in particular, got heated and after being spit on, he said she called him a pu--y and challenged him to get into the ring. He obviously didn't but before he knew it, he was being ushered backstage by security where he was left alone in a room with Bully Ray.

As the fan describes the dialogue, he says, "Bully said, 'I heard there was incident tonight with you and some of the girls’ ... So here’s the deal. You’re done talking down to them. You need to treat them with respect. Don’t be saying anything you wouldn’t say to your mom, you got it?!'”

The conversation ended when he was told to "Go be a fan," ushered back to his seat and watched the rest of the show trying to wrap his head around what had just happened.

Hearing this story, a number of media outlets including Postwrestling.com reached out to ROH and got a response:

ROH has always taken fan-first approach, with fan experience being at the forefront of all of our live events. We consider this to be very serious and will be conducting an internal review over the next 48 hours to determine the appropriate actions.

Bully's Response

Later on Monday, Bully Ray responded to the story making the rounds and said, “Convo lasted less than 30 sec. I gave him a pat on the back and told him to ‘go be a fan’. He said ‘Thanks Bully’. Fan version of story embellished to make him look like a victim.”

Details of the incident from fans in attendance say he crossed the line in his banter with the female performers and Ray believes he should have been ejected.

Ray added, “I live by the motto: ‘Respectful fan will always get what they want, a rude fan will always get what they deserve.” Before offering those words of wisdom, he'd said that just because a fan buys a ticket, doesn’t give them the right to do and say whatever they want.

What This Means

The story gained a lot of attention throughout Monday and the fan took some heat on social media for what people assumed was behavior that warranted the response he received from Bully Ray. At the same time, if Ray confronted the fan in a room alone, he should have known better.

This is the type of thing that could blow over and be nothing, but also blow up and become a huge issue should the fan be telling the truth and want to pursue this.

The women involved in the incident also responded to the allegations calling the fan distasteful, out of line, verbally abusive.
