New Orleans Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan is dishing out some big-time trash talk ahead of Sunday's home game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Speaking to reporters on Thursday, Jordan threw shade at Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, saying he's not even among the top signal-callers of this era - and explained why he thinks the other two Pro Bowl quarterbacks from the '04 draft class are better.

"In this era? You'd put him at like a top three of this era?" Jordan asked, "You'd put him in the top five of this era? You're saying he's better than Philip Rivers, career-wise? So you're giving him the Super Bowl nod...I'd honestly put Eli (Manning) before I'd put Ben, but OK. Two Super Bowls -- if we're going by those numbers."

Afterwards, Jordan took to Twitter and added that he's not sure if Roethlisberger is a first ballot Hall of Famer.

With all due respect to Jordan, Roethlisberger is a virtual lock to get into the Hall of Fame at this point, and he's not even done playing. He has a pair of Super Bowl championship rings and has the statistics to strengthen his case.

The six-time Pro Bowler has 359 career touchdown passes and 55,527 passing yards. Roethlisberger, in his 15th year, also hasn't endured a losing season yet. The Steelers have only missed the playoffs four times in the Big Ben era.

He's led them to three Super Bowl appearances, and the Steelers have made it to five AFC Championship Games under his guidance. It doesn't get much more consistent than that, which is why Roethlisberger is a sure-thing to get in.

Roethlisberger has been one of the top quarterbacks of this era, and he owns most of the Steelers' meaningful quarterback franchise records. Love or hate Big Ben, there's little denying he has a place in the Hall of Fame when he retires.

What This Means

This will be the fifth meeting ever between Roethlisberger and Drew Brees, with each side winning two. The Saints will lock up home advantage in the NFC with a victory, while the Steelers would inch closer to an AFC North division title.
