Chad Gable appeared on SmackDown Live and 205 Live this week and appears to have been given a new look and gimmick.

There are currently more Superstars in WWE than there ever has been before. Even though those stars are split across five different brands, it is still a struggle to get all of them on TV every week. In fact, it's not a struggle, it's impossible. Even the addition of the 24/7 Title and its chasing pack hasn't managed to get everyone some screen time.

Some wrestlers disappear from TV for so long that we forget they are even still under contract with WWE. Dolph Ziggler, for instance. Aside from the men's Royal Rumble match, Ziggler hadn't been on TV at all in 2019. However, thanks to Kevin Owens not wanting to make the trip to Saudi Arabia, The Showoff is now getting WWE Title shots left and right.

Another man who has been AWOL for a while is Chad Gable. That was until this past Tuesday. During a backstage segment on SmackDown Live, Gable appeared with a clipboard and a new haircut. He appeared to be taking notes on what Apollo Crews had been saying during an interview, but he neglected to explain why.

Later that same night, Gable got the chance to wrestle. Not on SmackDown Live, but on 205 Live. The former Tag Team Champion competed against and defeated Jack Gallagher. The victory was a strange one, though. After a hard-hitting match which left Gable a little bloodied, Gallagher was counted out. The Brit attempted to get back in the ring but the referee ruled he didn't make it in time.

Not the win Gable would have wanted during his first match on 205 Live, but a win nonetheless. Although not as many fans watch 205 Live as compared to other WWE brands, we like the idea of Gable permanently being on the brand. The cruiserweights are all about great in-ring performances, and they don't come much better than Gable. Should he be given the chance to do so in the coming months, we can see Gable eventually becoming Cruiserweight Champion.
