It's not clear what WWE has planned for each member of the Iiconics after splitting the tag team. That was much was clear after the duo was at odds, then not on the show the next week, only to see them on the same side again.

But, with word that Vince McMahon has an interest in pushing Peyton Royce as a singles star, it's logical to assume there is a plan.

On this past Monday's Raw, Royce and Billie Kay were once again friends, Kay at ringside for Royce's match with Asuka. They aren't a tag team, but it seems WWE has decided that splitting the group and having them fight with each other was not the best plan. It could be that the company is realizing they didn't need to separate the team to give each a singles run. More specifically, if WWE wants to push Royce, there's no reason she has to be at odds with her best friend.

As such, it appears WWE is going to keep these two together, even though they aren't a "team." Until the point the company figures out a way to reunite them officially if the singles runs don't work, or WWE decides to have one double cross the other in a more dramatic way, fans will likely see the team formerly known as The Iiconics on the screen together.

Better This Than Keeping Them Apart

Splitting up the tag team in the first place may prove to have been a mistake. That said, having the two work together on screen is better for both Royce and Kay. Their chemistry makes them unique and it will separate someone like Royce if she has a pseudo manager in Kay watching her back.

It's just too bad WWE hadn't figured out this could work before they broke the team up in a completely unnecessary and poorly promoted match.
