Channing Frye has attempted to explain his errant pass during Sunday's match between his Cleveland Cavaliers side and the Philadelphia 76ers.

The veteran forward left LeBron James particularly amused after grabbing a rebound off of a teammate's missed free throw, driving to the basket and then kicking the rock out to Colin Sexton. That could have resulted in a neat corner three, except for the fact that Sexton wasn't in the game - he was standing near the Cavs bench donning a warmup jersey.

LeBron proceeded to troll his former teammate on Instagram by posting a video of the blunder in which he could be heard laughing and you can bet that Channing will end up as a top candidate on Shaqtin' A Fool's yearly awards.

But he player has since posted a video of his own in response, hitting James with a Twitter mention to explain how it all went down in his head.

The slowed-down video, mixed with clips from a State Farm insurance ad and the Forest Gump movie, shows Sexton waving at Frye as if to signal he should hit him with a pass.

Looking at things in this light, Frye's pass wasn't all that bad. What was Collin waving at anyway!?

What This Means

It looks like Channing has won everyone over. If fans don't understand why he passed the ball to a teammate who was out of the game, they'll still give him a pass for taking the roasting in stride and posting such a brilliant video.

Of course, it won't give him a pass with Shaq, yet he might not be so high up on the former big man's list.
