Former Impact Wrestling Knockouts Champion Chelsea Green is rumored to have signed a contract with WWE.
While there is a women's revolution currently going on across all of pro wrestling, it must feel pretty darn good for all the women currently under contract with WWE. Not only are they being given deserved opportunities that wrestlers before them haven't been afforded, but some Superstars from the past are returning to compete too. That's resulting in a fair few dream matches, both for them and the fans.
While there are great female stars to be seen on Raw and SmackDown Live, some of the best stuff is happening in front of much fewer fans at Full Sail University. Take the Mae Young Classic. The likes of Mia Yim, Mercedes Matinez, and a returning Kaitlyn are showing exactly why WWE has brought the tournament back for a second go around. On top of that, NXT's female roster is once again becoming extremely stacked.
With the likes of Bianca Belair, Nikki Cross, and Candice LeRae all calling the black and yellow brand home, the roster is probably stronger now than it has ever been. However, that doesn't mean WWE is going to let it sit, especially as call-ups can come at any time. The latest name that is rumored to be making her way to the Performance Center is Chelsea Green, also known as Laurel Van Ness to Impact Wrestling fans.
According to WrestleZone, Green has signed a contract with WWE and has already reported to the Performance Center. If true, it doesn't come as much of a surprise. Not only because Green is an extremely talented performer, but she has admitted to having tryouts with WWE earlier this year. She is also linked to the company via the man she is currently dating, long time Superstar Zack Ryder.
If Green does come to WWE it wouldn't actually be the first time she has been involved with the company. Back in 2015, Green played Daniel Bryan's therapist on Raw, claiming she had an affair with him during Brie Bella's rivalry with Stephanie McMahon. She was also a contestant on Tough Enough that same year, finishing fourth.
