If basketball doesn't work for Chris Bosh anymore, he might try luck in esports.

It’s been a long time since Bosh won two NBA championship titles along with Lebron James and Dwyane Wade. The former Raptor, however, wants to give basketball one last chance. He hasn’t played since the season 2015-2016 season, due to a blood clot in his lung  — he struggled with these throughout most of his professional career.

“I am still aspiring to play in the NBA,” Bosh told The Undefeated. “Obviously, if nothing happens in the next few months, I’m not crazy, that will be a wrap. But right now, I’m trying to make it happen. I’m still very confident. It’s just something I want to do.”

Even though Bosh is an 11-time NBA All-Star who doesn’t need to prove anything else in the league, he believes there’s still something for him in professional basketball. During his last season, Bosh averaged 19.1 points and 7.4 rebounds, despite only playing 53 games. So, the two-time champion could still contribute with great numbers to any team.

“A lot of people ask me,” Bosh said, “‘Why? Why? Why?’ I guess people will never understand unless they are in my shoes. It’s an unfinished painting. I had a masterpiece in my mind, saw where it was going and had opportunities.”

So far, no team has made public its interest in landing the 34-year-old veteran, although Bosh sounds confident that soon enough he will have a third and probably last team in his career.

“Teams are just waiting to hear back from me,” Bosh noted, “I’ve talked to a couple of guys. They just want to know where I am at. They want to have a conversation with me and talk to me and see what it is I’m exactly trying to do. I’ve been doing other things and taking care of my personal life. But I think in the next couple months I will really be able to reach out to guys. I’m ready to work out if they want me to do that.”

According to the New York Post, the Knicks might be interested in Bosh, to perform rookie Kevin Knox.

Nevertheless, if no team contacts Bosh in the next few months, video gaming could be his new discipline. According to The Undefeated, Bosh recently joined Gen.G, a global eSports organization, as the player management adviser, focusing on helping eSports players develop leadership and teamwork skills.

When the two-time NBA champion was asked if he considered himself a real gamer in the video game world, he answered that his sons might be stopping him to become one.

“Within reason. I say that in respect of the people who really do it. I would like to play more, but my kids won’t let me. It ends up being a family event and that is not always a good thing, especially with some games you’re playing.”
