It's been over two-and-a-half years now since 11-time All-Star Chris Bosh played in the NBA, as a blood clot forced him to miss the second half of 2015-16 plus the postseason, plus all of 2016-17 and 2017-18.

But the 34-year-old Bosh isn't slamming the door on a possible return to basketball. In an interview with Ben Rohrbach of Yahoo Sports, Bosh admitted that he holds out hope a team will reach out to him soon.

"Yeah, it’s still on my mind. Obviously, if it doesn’t happen by February, I’m not stupid, but yeah, I’m still looking forward to that," Bosh said. "I’m still trying to overcome that hump and trying to get something going. I’m looking forward to the challenge. I know I can still play some ball and be a 3-and-D guy for somebody out there."

Bosh, who won NBA Championship rings with the Miami Heat in 2012 and 2013, had his contract voided by the team to get out of the remaining $52.1 million left on his deal. As Rohrbach pointed out, this was from a "provision" in the 2017 CBA.

Bosh was able to crack a wise joke about reuniting the former Miami Heat 'Big Three', which consisted of he, LeBron James and Dwyane Wade. The former signed with the Los Angeles Lakers this summer, while Wade has yet to announce his future plans.

"That would be the Laker Show plus the Old-Man Show," Bosh said.

Drafted fourth overall by the Toronto Raptors in 2003, 'CB4' became one of the league's prolific scorers and most dominant power forwards/centers ever. On top of the two championship rings and 11 All-Star Game appearances, Bosh was part of the men's basketball team that won gold at the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics.

Bosh was highly productive in his last season (2015-16), averaging 19.1 points, 7.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game. But given his age (34), health concerns and the fact he hasn't played in almost three years, finding one more gig is easier said than done.
