Chris Jericho has claimed the line leaked on Reddit that was apparently what Jon Moxley refused to say about Roman Reigns is a "total lie."
Ever since Jon Moxley debuted in AEW, it has been pretty much the only thing anyone in wrestling has been talking about. Not just because of the excitement of his debut, but also due to what has come since. A few days later, Moxley sat down with Chris Jericho and conducted an interview, during which he told all about WWE and his relationship with Vince McMahon.
Moxley told stories of how the hokey injection in the ass promo came about, and making sure the boss didn't see a line in a promo about a pooper scooper. Amid all that information, there was one thing Moxley didn't want to divulge. A line Mr. McMahon asked him to say about Roman Reigns. It was apparently a dig at Reigns' leukemia, and Moxley simply refused to say it. He wouldn't even utter it on the podcast.
While Moxley stated that he didn't want to say the line on air, he did follow up by saying he would tell Jericho off the air. A few days later, what one Redditor is claiming to be the line was posted online. The claim is that Jericho told people backstage at Double Or Nothing about the unspoken statement, and eventually it reached the ears of someone willing to share it with the world.
This here. This sounds awful and sure maybe Vince thought of this. BUT what gives me doubt is Jericho leaking information like this. @IAmJericho @TalkIsJericho can you say if it’s true or not. I’m just curious. Not trying to throw you under the bus or nothing. pic.twitter.com/6BlWvTYK7A— Lucas Rock (@Heel_Lucas) June 4, 2019
The rumored line Moxley refused to say is apparently "I don't know who's more of a dead man walking, Seth Rollins or Roman Reigns. Only difference is I'm gonna kill Seth, and God is gonna kill Roman." Honestly, that's even worse than we could have possibly imagined. One fan has asked Jericho on Twitter whether the leak is real, to which Y2J replied "total lie."
The saddest thing about all of this is that we can imagine Mr. McMahon posing a line like that to Moxley. If it is indeed what the former WWE Champion was asked to say, he absolutely made the right decision not to say it. Also, if the leaked line is for real, Moxley will not be happy with Jericho. That being said, we can't imagine Y2J blabbed about it and decided to tell anyone who'd listen considering the circumstances.
