Part-time WWE Superstar Chris Jericho made news when he signed to wrestle a match for NJPW at Wrestle Kingdom 12. His feud with Kenny Omega has been entertaining and, for the most part, Jericho branching out beyond the WWE will be a great decision for him, for Omega and for WWE who will likely welcome back an even bigger star when Jericho chooses to return.

Jericho did say that he will always be a "WWE guy" but his loyalties seem to start and stop there. The very popular and very talkative Jericho has also been involved with a number of outside projects, one of which being a podcast called "Talk is Jericho" which for some time has been airing on Podcast One. In a recent announcement and on the last "Talk is Jericho" show of 2017, Jericho announced he would be leaving the station and taking his show elsewhere.

In an effort to grow his brand, his audience and try something else, Jericho started his final show of the year by announcing it would be his last and he was moving his show and all of its episodes to Westwood One. Westwood One is a competing network but a huge brand which carries podcasts like Jim Rome, Tara and Johnny and more. It is a network that is actively looking to grow its fan base but has over 245 million listeners per week.

Jericho explained his decision to move by saying, "When I decided to pick up and move, Westwood One was the platform that stood out to me the most because when I was a kid it meant a lot to me to always hear those Westwood One specials and here we are moving to Westwood One. Plus, I went to Westwood High School! So it's all coming together. But, listen, nothing is really changing. We're still doing two episodes per week, every Wednesday and Friday just like we've always been doing."

Jericho said it was his goal to make his podcast the largest in the world and that he felt a move was necessary to achieve that goal. The show will now be available on Google Play, Stitcher and other popular podcast platforms.
